Pakistan (UTC+5) is 4 hours ahead of Spain in winter (CET) and 3 in summer (CEST). We share 5–6 working hours every day — your morning and early afternoon fall inside my working day, so most conversations happen live rather than asynchronously.

The Spanish working day runs later than mine does, so this matters more here than in some markets. My afternoon covers your morning and the hours either side of lunch; whatever comes up after that is picked up at the start of my next morning, which begins before yours, so it is usually answered before you are back at your desk. In summer, if your team runs a jornada intensiva and finishes early, almost the whole day sits inside my window and the handoff barely happens at all. Every message gets a response within 24 hours regardless. Anything genuinely time-critical is best raised during the morning overlap so it can be handled live rather than left in writing overnight.

Two routes, whichever suits your process. A direct services agreement with defined milestones, invoiced on completion, which works well if your gestoría or internal finance team wants the paperwork in their own system. Or a contract through Upwork, where escrow and payment protection are handled by the platform — often simpler for a first engagement, or when procurement would rather have a third party in the middle. I work as an independent contractor supplying services from Pakistan, not as an employee, and agreements are in English. If your invoices need to carry your CIF, a purchase order, or particular wording before your asesoría will process them, tell me at the start and they are issued that way.

Quotes are issued in US dollars, and the starting figure noted below is USD. The euro amount depends on the exchange rate the day you pay, so a EUR number printed here would be wrong by the time you read it — what is fixed instead is the scope and the price, written down after the intro call and unchanged mid-project. Payment comes by bank transfer, Stripe, or through Upwork. If your company pays on fixed monthly runs rather than on receipt, say so early and milestones can be set to complete ahead of them rather than just after. Your own IVA treatment is worth confirming with your accountant, since it depends on your registration status rather than anything at my end.

You do. Full IP ownership transfers to you — source code, documentation, and infrastructure configuration. Repositories are set up under your organisation's control from the start wherever possible.
